Per Fox's Greg Auman, it's a one-year deal worth a maximum value of $6 million. Muhammad will earn a base salary of $4 million and can earn an additional $2 million with incentives. Muhammad will earn an additional $500,000 if he plays 40% of the Bucs' defensive snaps, an additional $500,000 if he plays 60% of the Bucs' defensive snaps and $250,000 for reaching six, eight, 10 and 12 sacks.

Muhammad is now the second former Lion to sign with the Bucs. Linebacker Alex Anzalone also signed with Tampa Bay on a two-year, $17 million deal to begin NFL free agency.
