FSU softball 2026 transfer portal tracker

· Yahoo Sports

The softball transfer portal will officially open on June 8, but several FSU players have already made their intentions known after the end of FSU's 2026 season. The Seminoles accomplished some great things this season, but they ultimately came up short and lost in the regional round.

While FSU has never been very active in the transfer portal under head coach Lonni Alameda and has continued to rely on their recruiting and development, could that change this offseason? FSU has not been to the Women's College World Series since 2023, the longest gap since they failed to make it from 2004 to 2014.

Pitcher Makenna Reid and catcher Madi Frey are the only two seniors out of eligibility, with the core of FSU's roster expected to be back for the 2027 season. Unlike last season, the Seminoles have already lost several players to the portal, potentially freeing up some space on the roster. Some of the spaces will be filled by FSU's incoming signing class, which consists of six players and is led by five-star infielder McLanie Hudson, Softball America's No. 5 player in the country.

We'll track everything that happens in the transfer portal this offseason right here.

Mimi Gooden, P

Mimi Gooden spent three seasons with the Seminoles, redshirting during the 2026 season. She appeared in 25 games over her first two years in Tallahassee, finishing with a 4.39 ERA in 67 innings pitched. Opponents hit .291 off her and drew 22 walks to 33 strikeouts. She will have two seasons of eligibility at her next stop.

Addie DeLong, OF

Addie DeLong played in just one game in 2026 before she suffered a season-ending injury. She was one of the fastest players on FSU's team and was expected to serve as one of their top pinch runners. She played in 55 games as a true freshman in 2025, hitting .333 in 30 at-bats with one double, one triple, two RBI, and six stolen bases. DeLong said she will have three seasons of eligibility at her next school.
