It's postseason time in the UFL, with the semifinals on tap for this week to determine who reaches the United Bowl.

The Orlando Storm lead the field as the top seed after an 8-2 regular season, but they won't have home-field advantage in the semis. Their stadium is being used for an England vs. Costa Rica World Cup tune-up match, leaving Orlando to face the DC Defenders in Columbus, Ohio.
The Defenders are the reigning UFL champions but have been up and down throughout the 2026 season. They finished 5-5 thanks in part to defeats the last two weeks at the hands of none other than the storm. Perhaps the third time will be the charm for DC.
The other semifinal features a matchup of 6-4 teams as the St. Louis Battlehawks face the Louisville Kings. The expansion Kings started the season 0-3 but enter the playoffs hot with four straight wins, scoring at least 30 points in each of them. On the other side, St. Louis has dropped two of its last three but won the regular-season matchup against Louisville 16-3.
