Browns get a positive prognosis on promising rookie WR despite concern

While first round rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion gave the Cleveland Brownsquite a scare, it appears the two sides dodged a massive bullet.

At the end of the team's first fully padded practice, Concepcion fell to the ground as he attempted to reel in the football over the middle of the field. He hit the ground hard and immediately grabbed his shoulder; Concepcion was then slow to get up and made his way to the sideline holding his shoulder.

However, NFL insider Jordan Schultz has received word that Concepcion is expected to be just fine, stating:

Browns rookie WR KC Concepcion, who left practice today with a shoulder injury after a hard fall, did not suffer anything serious and the team is expecting him to the fine."

Browns stay relatively healthy through the start of camp

Outside of veteran Maliek Collins, who has started training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list, the Browns have remained quite healthy this summer. Linebacker Carson Schwesinger missed a couple of practices, but the indication from head coach Todd Monken is that is not anything to have large concerns about.

Especially for Concepcion, who is going to have high expectations in year one, getting every rep in training camp is crucial. If he can get back onto the field as early as tomorrow, the rookie wide receiver can continue a strong camp with fellow rookie wideout Denzel Boston. The two dearly need to change the outlook of the Cleveland wide receiver room, which lived well below standards last year.
