Crystal Palace are reported to have rejected a second bid from Liverpool in their attempt to sign Ismaïla Sarr (28), according to reports from the French media outlet RMC Sport.
The situation is set to further inflame tensions between the forward and the club’s management, who are currently refusing to let him leave the Eagles. Sarr, keen to join the Anfield side, is said to have responded by deciding to stop training with Palace and is reported to have skipped a training session on Monday.
At 28, and having just enjoyed the most successful season of his career (21 goals and two assists in 45 appearances across all competitions), the Senegalese international – who has 87 caps (23 goals) – now wishes to take his career to the next level.
However, with just two days to go before the transfer window closes, it is difficult to predict how this situation will play out, as Sarr remains under contract with Crystal Palace until 2029.
