RC Strasbourg Alsace have completed the signing of Conrad Harder (21), who joins the club on a season-long loan.
Strasbourg may not get Joaquin Panichelli back before the end of the calendar year. The Argentine forward shone during his first season with Le Racing but sustained an ACL injury in March. In his absence, as well as those of Emanuel Emegha and David Datro Fofana, who both left the club during the summer, there is a lack of depth in the forward position at the Meinau.
Sékou Mara started the club’s opener, despite being heavily linked with an exit. Jacobo Ortega joined from Real Madrid’s academy and started in Saturday’s win over RC Lens. Bringing in another forward has, however, been a priority. They have now done that with the arrival of Harder. The Dane has joined on a straight loan deal, without any buy option, as announced by the Alsace club on deadline day.
