Quentin Pasley is glad to be compared to his favorite fighter.

Pasley (4-0) took on Arlind Berisha (5-1) in the main event of Week 5 of Dana White’s Contender Series 2026 on Sept. 8. Pasley took Berisha down and dropped brutal elbows to secure the finish in the first round.

Pasley says he’s been working on his grappling throughout camp, which prompted him to go for the finish as soon as the fight hit the mat.

“I knew if he tried to grapple me, that would be the end of the fight,” Pasley said in his post-bout interview. “My grappling has been good all camp. So, once he was down there, I was just looking for the finish. Submission or ground-and-pound, didn’t matter.”

Dana White admitted that he was initially surprised to see Pasley in the main event with a 3-0 record. However, Pasley proved why he deserved the headliner spot with his performance. White compared Pasley to Jon Jones while awarding him an Ultimate Fighting Championship contract.

Pasley feels honored to be compared to “Bones,” who is his favorite fighter. However, he clarifies that he is not going to be a copycat of the former UFC double champ.

“[Feels] Special, [Jones] is my favorite fighter,” Pasley added. “So, to hear that comparison is crazy… I’m my own person; I got my own style.”
