Eagles rally past Titans on late Jalen Hurts touchdown pass
· Yahoo Sports
Jalen Hurts committed two costly turnovers Sunday. He also delivered when the Philadelphia Eagles had no room left for another mistake. Hurts found Darius Cooper for a 3-yard touchdown with nine seconds remaining, completing a nine-play, 65-yard drive that lifted Philadelphia to a 24-20 victory over the Tennessee Titans. The Eagles improved to 2-0 despite losing Saquon Barkley to an injury during the opening possession, rushing for only 89 yards and committing the game’s only two turnovers.
Hurts completed 26 of 37 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns. His first interception came in the Tennessee end zone and was returned 92 yards by Amani Hooker, setting up the first of Cam Ward’s two rushing touchdowns. Marcus Harris intercepted Hurts in the fourth quarter after pressure from Jeffery Simmons.

Those mistakes nearly proved decisive.
Tennessee moved ahead 20-17 after Philadelphia allowed a first-down run on third-and-22 during a late scoring drive. The Eagles received the ball with 1:56 remaining and no timeouts, leaving Hurts to rescue an offense that had struggled throughout the second half.
He did exactly that.
DeVonta Smith led Philadelphia with 10 receptions for 117 yards and a touchdown. Dontayvion Wicks added five catches for 74 yards, repeatedly converting important third and fourth downs. Cooper caught only two passes, but both mattered. His 23-yard reception helped Philadelphia’s final drive cross midfield, and his second catch became the winning touchdown. Philadelphia controlled possession for 36:25 and converted 11 of 18 third downs. Its defense limited Ward to 13 completions and 183 passing yards but allowed 122 rushing yards and struggled to finish tackles late.
Nolan Smith and Jalen Carter recorded sacks, while Jihaad Campbell led the Eagles with 10 tackles.
The performance was uneven and occasionally alarming. The result was exactly what Philadelphia needed: a road victory secured by its quarterback in the final seconds.
