Should You Start or Sit Travis Hunter in Week 2?
The idea of Hunter is so fun, but the execution is anything but, and he’s in a spot where he will only hold value in the event that one of two things happens in Jacksonville.
The offense spirals down, something that seems highly unlikely given what we’ve seen since the Jakobi Meyers acquisition, or there are multiple injuries ahead of him in the pass-catching hierarchy.

This team needs more support on the other side of the ball, and we saw as much on Sunday (39 of his 43 snaps came on defense after averaging 32.1 routes per game in the seven before injury set in as a rookie). The Jags scored on the majority of their drives Sunday against the Browns, and it’s clear that they don’t need Hunter to be highly effective on that side of things.
He’s an interesting prospect and a nice piece to what the Jags want to do, but he doesn’t matter right now for fantasy, and it’s hard to see that changing. If you want to hold him as a contingency play, fine. I do think there is talent that would matter in this profile should he be given the opportunity to flash, but you need to understand that is all he is right now: a bet against the health of his teammates.
