The Indianapolis Colts host the Houston Texans in NFL Week 3 action as both AFC South teams seek their first victory of the season.

The Colts have been poor defensively, but they improved from a blowout Week 1 loss to take the Kansas City Chiefs to overtime in Week 2. The Texans lost a Week 1 shootout to the Buffalo Bills but didn't find the end zone in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Texans have won the past five matchups, all by 8 points or less.

- Indianapolis has struggled mightily on defense, ranking last in the NFL in points allowed (37.0 per game), yards allowed (514.5) and passing yards allowed (337.5). The Colts have one takeaway. Daniel Jones (66.1% completions, 376 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, 2 interceptions), Jonathan Taylor (190 rushing yards, 4.4 per carry, 4 TDs) and Josh Downs (9 catches, 12.1 yards per) top the Indy offense.
- Houston has passed on 67% of its plays through Week 2, the highest rate in the NFL. The Texans have moved the ball, but they went 0-of-4 on red zone trips in a loss to the Bengals. Their celebrated defense took a step forward from the opener. C.J. Stroud (60.2% of his passes for 627 yards with 2 touchdowns), tight end Dalton Schultz (16 catches, 10.9 yards per) and David Montgomery (70 rushing yards, 2 TDs) lead Houston's offense.

Here are the injuries both teams are watching coming out of Week 2:
- Colts: WR Alec Pierce (heel), DE Micheal Clemons (toe), CB Charvarius Ward (groin). Story: Alec Pierce's status is up in the air.
- Texans: WR Nico Collins (hamstring) is unlikely to play, and LB Henry To'oto'o (shoulder) and DT Kayden McDonald (ankle) are on injured reserve.
