PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) -- Dunlap and Pekin were neck and neck in Mid-Illini Conference golf meets Thursday.

The Dunlap boys edged Pekin by two strokes to win the conference title at Quail Meadows. But Pekin beat Dunlap by one shot to take the girls golf championship at Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Country Club.
Washington's Court Bohanan beat Pekin's Colin Kemp in a three-hole playoff to take medalist honors after each shot a 73 for the first 18 holes. Dunlap's top five players, led by Nolan Eccles' 75 and Nick Herget's 76, all shot in the 70's to help earn the Eagles shoot a 306, two ahead of Pekin.
Dunlap's Sydney Hunt shot a 1-under 71 to repeat as girls conference medalist. She finished three shots ahead of Metamora's Addie Mitchell and four ahead of third-place finisher Cate Cummings of Pekin.
Cummings' 75 and Leah Brown's 78 led the Dragons as they posted a team score of 314, one ahead of runner-up Dunlap.
Roanoke-Benson/Eureka and unbeaten Illini Bluffs played to a scoreless draw in a battle of small school soccer teams off to good starts this season. The Tigers (8-0-1) had won their first eight matches of the season while the Rockets are now 9-2-4 on the season.
Normal West, Limestone, Morton, Washington, Tremont and Illini Bluffs were among the volleyball winners Thursday.
