Hall of Fame pitcher CC Sabathia, who's also been dabbling in sports media in recent years, made his picks for the remainder of the Major League Baseball playoffs and ...

Perhaps an even bigger story is that Sabathia picked the team with which he spent the first part of his career, the Cleveland Guardians, to fall to the Chicago White Sox in the American League Division Series.
Cleveland, of course, traded Sabathia to the Brewers during the 2008 season and Sabathia delivered a herculean performance that got the Brewers their first postseason berth in a generation.

Today, postseason berths are a regular occurrence for the Brewers, but they haven't been back to the World Series since 1982. That would change in Sabathia's bracket, where the Brewers would face the Yankees, a team Sabathia guided to the World Series title in 2009, then played another decade in Yankees pinstripes.
Perhaps we should note that Sabathia's son, Carsten, was drafted by the Brewers in 2026 and just wrapped up a promising first half-season with Class A Wilson.
