Fantasy football start or sit Week 4: Alvin Kamara, Emanuel Wilson, George Holani
· Yahoo Sports
Running back injuries around the NFL are starting to pile up and that could force fantasy football owners to turn to guys like New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara and Seattle Seahawks running backs Emanuel Wilson and George Holani.
After being an afterthought through three games, Kamara is being pushed into a bigger role with fellow rusher Travis Etienne landing on injured reserve with his hamstring injury.

In Seattle, rookie running back Jadarian Price is on the shelf for at least the next four contests, also, after re-aggravating his chest injury and being placed on IR. That clears the path for more work for both Holani and Wilson.
If you’re here, you’re likely in a bind at the running back position because of injuries. Here’s how we’d handle start or sit decisions for Kamara, Holani and Wilson.

Alvin Kamara start or sit advice

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported earlier in the week that Kamara would “carry the load” for the Saints with Etienne out, but we expect to see at least a fair amount of Kendre Miller, also.
While that’s all well and good, we don’t like this matchup against an Atlanta Falcons team ceding the fewest fantasy points per game to running backs, per CBS Sports.

As a result of that and Miller’s involvement, it’s hard to have enough confidence to start Kamara outside of a desperate situation.
Kamara is the preferred option over Miller if you must choose one, though.
Verdict: Sit
Emanuel Wilson, George Holani start or sit advice

The difficult part here is that we can’t say for sure how much Holani is going to be involved. There are three things that could point to Wilson getting the bulk of the carries.
He is listed as the No. 2 on Seattle’s depth chart (and that was before Price got hurt), which hasn’t been the case all season (he was previously No. 3), and Wilson handled most of the carries last week after Price left, with Wilson seeing nine to Holani’s three.

Then, there was the week prior, when Wilson saw a whopping 21 carries against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2 and Holani only saw four.
Holani is going to be the primary pass-catching back, though, something we saw last week when he handled five receptions to Wilson’s zero.
The Chargers are a middle-of-the-road matchup for running backs, so nothing scary there, and Los Angeles has been a total disaster this season, so we could see a situation in which Seattle grabs a lead and runs a ton, which would be perfect game script for Wilson.
If you’re in a pinch, we’re fine with rolling Wilson out there, but not Holani.
Verdict: Start Wilson, sit Holani
