RJ Harvey Fantasy Week 4 Start or Sit: Cheap PPR Points With a Floor to Match

Denver heads to San Francisco with Harvey 59th among running backs in PFN’s Week 4 rankings, which is about where this pass-catching role belongs. He has more catches than carries in both of his games and more targets than rushing yards in the comeback win over the Rams, and the boxes for that profile are checked this week. The floor is low with JK Dobbins handling the bulk of the work, so he is a depth piece I hope you can get through the week without starting.

Should You Start or Sit RJ Harvey in Week 4?

With more catches than carries in both of his games this season and more targets than rushing yards last week in the comeback win over the Rams, I think it’s safe to say that the fantasy community handicapped this backfield correctly.

In theory, with Jonah Coleman injured, this would be a window to get Harvey working more between the tackles, but he’s been one of the worst in that regard since he entered the league. If he’s on your roster, it’s to rack up the cheap PPR points in tough matchups.

Those boxes are checked this week. If you lost a De’Von Achane or Travis Etienne and are simply trying to scratch out points, you could do worse.

The floor, however, is low. Denver has plenty of pass-catching talent and as long as JK Dobbins is getting the bulk of the work, there’s more risk than reward in this profile. Harvey should remain on rosters as a depth piece, but I hope you can navigate Week 4 without having to go this deep.
