Titans head coach addresses Cam Ward after 0-4 start
· Yahoo Sports
The Tennessee Titans fell to 0-4 on the season with Sunday’s loss to the 24-18 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Second-year quarterback and former number one overall pick Cam Ward is now 3-18 as a starter in the NFL.
There is growing concern around Ward, who is having an increasingly contentious relationship with the media in Nashville, being a bust. However, after Sunday’s game, Titans head coach Robert Saleh addressed the feeling in the building about his quarterback.

“We have the utmost confidence in Cam. We really do. And I’m not trying to stand up here and show strength. Like, the kid’s going to be a damn good quarterback, man. Everyone just needs to take a deep breath and let him grow,” Saleh said.
#Titans HC Robert Saleh on QB Cam Ward:
“We have the utmost confidence in Cam. … The kid’s gonna be a damn good quarterback. Everyone just needs to take a deep breath and let him grow. If you can’t objectively watch the tape and look at him from Week 1 last year to Week 1 this year to Week 4 yesterday and not see improvement, then you’re just being biased to your own opinion.”

“And if you haven’t—if you can’t objectively sit down and watch tape and look at him from Week 1 of last year, even to Week 1 this year, to Week 4 yesterday, and not see improvement in a young man who’s trending in the right direction, then you’re just being biased to your own opinion.
Saleh went on to point toward the responsibility the Titans’ coaching staff put on Ward.
“Ff you really watch the game as a whole, you’ll see that there was a lot of faith put in Cam. A lot of checks were made. He was working the line of scrimmage. He was putting us in the right calls. There’s a lot of football put on Cam Ward during the course of the game.”
The good news for Ward and the Titans is that their next game may be the team’s best chance yet for Ward’s improvement to reflect in the win column, with Tennessee slated to face the Houston Texans, one of the other five winless teams in the NFL.
