Washington quarterback Demond Williams sustained an apparent shoulder injury at the end of a quarterback keeper on third down in the second quarter at Husky Stadium, which saw Williams go to the medical tent after the Huskies scored their first points of the night on a field goal.
Elijah Brown took the field with the Huskies offense on their next drive of the half, with Williams shown on the sidelines still in some discomfort.
Williams exits the game 6-of-11 passing for 69 yards with -8 rushing yards on 11 carries. He took four sacks in the first half against the Hawkeyes' defense. Washington is currently trailing Iowa 27-3 at halftime.

Williams sustained an apparent shoulder injury late in the second quarter of Washington's game vs. Iowa at the end of a quarterback keeper. He immediately went into the medical tent and then was seen going into the locker room as the Huskies finished their final offensive drive.

Stanford transfer Elijah Brown is Williams' backup in Seattle. Brown was 5-of-6 passing for 37 yards in the drive before halftime against Iowa when he came in for Williams.
