Reaching the midpoint of the season, Week 5 kicked off with an utterly dominant performance from Beacon, who stays the only unbeaten team in the area. Getting an extra night's rest, the Bulldogs now sit and wait to see how the rest of the schedule plays out.

Conversely, other programs are fighting for playoff hopes and seedings with the postseason soon coming up. Most notably, Arlington and Lourdes have pivotal divisional matchups as the two programs continue to ride successful seasons so far.

Thursday, Oct. 8

Beacon 47, Saugerties 6 (story)

Elijah Epps continued his stellar season with 157 yards rushing and two touchdowns, upping his total touchdown count to 14 on the season. Delano Rigby Jr was a perfect 10-10 passing with 172 yards and three passing scores. Jamir Spence caught three balls for 78 yards and a touchdown while Ramon Soto also hauled in a touchdown reception. JahReal Whitted ran the ball five times for 42 yards and a score.

James Krauza and Aaron Cohen each recorded three touchdowns for Lourdes.

Carter Lupo recorded two receiving touchdowns for Ketcham while Kaleb Mako and Jayden Williams added a score on the ground. Jalani Dunn grabbed two interceptions.
