Nacua’s status for Sunday’s game came into question on Thursday after he exited practice early with a strained calf. He missed practice the following day, casting further doubt on his status.

The Rams would have been without each of their two best pass catchers if Nacua missed Sunday’s game, as Davante Adams in on injured reserve after suffering a ruptured hamstring in the Rams’ final drive of their loss against the Cardinals last week.

Nacua has been the Rams’ best receiver when he’s played this year, recording 417 yards in 37 receptions over the course of his four games. He missed two games earlier in the season with a hip and oblique injury.

What Does the Rest of the Rams’ Injury Report Look Like?

Other than Nacua, the Rams had questions surrounding cornerback Trent McDuffie heading into Sunday’s game. Unfortunately for them, McDuffie didn’t progress as well as Nacua from his groin injury, and won’t play in the game.

McDuffie has been a huge part of the Rams’ stellar pass defense this season, as the team ranked third in the league in pass yards allowed heading into Sunday.

Other inactive players listed are quarterback Ty Simpson, linebacker Nate Landman, offensive linement Bill Murray and Keagen Trost and tight end Max Klare.

The Rams may have some injury struggles at the moment, but they’re due for a key return next week. They expect Myles Garrett to return to practice next week, which will definitely improve their already fantastic defense. The Rams acquired Garrett from the Browns in the offseason in exchange for Jared Verse and three picks.

They’ll hope they still have enough in the tank to get past the Raiders on Sunday, as they desperately need to get a win to remain in the race for the playoffs. They currently sit at 2-4, and will hope to improve their record in Sunday’s game at 1:25 p.m. PT.
