West Ham United want Troyes midfielder Martin Adeline
· Yahoo Sports
West Ham United are interested in signing Troyes midfielder Martin Adeline this summer, according to the Daily Mail. West Ham are preparing for life in the Championship and manager Nuno Espirito Santo needs new players at the London Stadium club. The Hammers are expected to sell Mateus Fernandes, and Adeline is eyed as a replacement. The 22-year-old Frenchman has been identified as someone capable of pulling the strings in midfield to help West Ham earn promotion out of the Championship next season.
Adeline bagged 11 goals and weighed in with 13 assists in all competition for Troyes to help them win the Ligue 2 and earn promotion. However, West Ham will face competition from the likes of RC Lens, FC Lorient and Hamburg SV for the France youth international. A move to England could appeal to Adeline, but convincing him to ditch Ligue 1 for the Championship could be tricky. The Hammers could also be without Soungoutou Magassa, Crysencio Summerville, El Hadji Malick Diouf, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Jean Clair Todibo, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Taty Castellanos and Edson Alvarez next season.

They are desperate to raise over £100 million following relegation, and a huge squad overhaul is on the cards. West Ham will have to be smart with their recruitment this summer and are looking to appoint a new head of technical recruitment after Max Hahn resigned last week. They need players capable of making impacts in the Championship, and Adeline knows one or two things about fighting for promotion.
