Fabrizio Romano is reporting that new round of talks between the West Londoners and La Liga side has been scheduled. Chavarría wants to move to the Premier League and join Chelsea and is hopeful that the clubs can reach an agreement.
The 28-year-old is valued at around £17.2m at Vallecano. Chavarría has made 125 appearances for the Spaniards since arriving from Zaragoza in 2022 and was part of the side that reached the Europa Conference League final last season.
Last season, he ranked third among all La Liga full-backs for percentage of duels won and sixth for progressive carries.
