Mexico wasn't able to get a victory in its first match after the World Cup, but a beautiful goal from 17-year-old Gilberto Mora in the 1-1 draw provided a big highlight.

Now, Marquez turns his attention to a Peru team that was picked apart by the United States, the next team El Tri will face in this September-October window.

Mexico manager Rafa Marquez said in the build-up that while he's thrilled to see teenager Gilberto Mora continue to excel, he also wants to make sure he's not putting too much on the shoulders of the Club Tijuana star.

"We all now know about Gilberto's quality. You have to try to take care of him, for him to develop," he said at a news conference. "He's still very young. Among all of us, we're going to do everything possible for him to continue growing."
